so lately i've been pretty cheery because things are going better with my parents. dad and i are getting along better than we ever have and mom is thinking less and less about dad. at least she seems to be, anyways.
tomorrow i'm going over to see dad and along with diane, we're going to pick out a christmas tree and start the festivities! hurrah for decorating!!
had a great couple of days with mom. we didn't do much. listened to music, ate together, talked, took care of each other. it was nice. i'm slowly exposing her to the show lost and she's enjoying it. we were supposed to do some baking tonight, too, but it turns out she's at least one ingredient short for every cookie recipe i wanted to try. alas...some other time.
one bizarre thing that happened was that her friend heather (25 years old and extremely clingy) called. mom said not to answer, so i didn't. and the phone rang. and rang. and rang and rang and rang. an angry message about mom not picking up the phone followed. and then more ringing. in fact, heather called about 17 times between 8:15 and 8:40. all dignity apparently went *whoosh* out the window. by that point i was getting pissed off and a little freaked out. mom finally answered the phone, but HOLY CRAP.
heather's angry because mom doesn't invite her over when i'm around. there's a little more to it but it shouldn't be nearly as big a deal as it's been made out to be. it's all very middle school-ish to me. *shrug*
i miss ben. like, a lot. he sent me the sweetest care package, too, full of all kinds of fun stuff to do for the rest of my time here! what a sweetheart! i want to marry him. and raise puppies with him. and maybe a kitty or two. (c:
