it's the most wonderful time of the year (laaa, laaa, laaa, laaa)!
today i've got some crazy baking to do. i've been making up my own recipes for desserts. last time it was cherry-chocolate layer cake. holy success, batman. today i'll make --among other things-- an cinnamon-vanilla (layer?) cake with apple frosting. i've got a bunch of other ideas, too. maybe i should make those banana cookies i've been thinking about.
ben and i made sugar cookies yesterday after our little emotional talk session. it (the emotional issue) was pretty much just a bunch of misunderstandings on my part, and we're right as rain now. in any case, those sugar cookies are awesome! so what if yours truly was a dope and didn't think it was possible for that dough to be rolled out for cookie cutting? round sugar cookies are still tasty. and the frosting is gooood. pretty, too!
all the relatives are coming over tonight, it's going to be craziness. everyone will probably stay until the wee hours of the morn. heck, they have to...they always need time to sober up before leaving, hehe. (virgin) pina coladas, here i come! ben's coming over tonight, too. it's our first christmas together. exciting shtuff, huh? and our year anniversary is coming up in a month. i can't believe it!
my poor brother has been sick with tonsilitis for a week now. this is probably the 6th time this year. when i'd suggested a tonsilectomy before, he was like, "um, al, that stuff is expensive." and now he's all, "mom, i want them out as soon as possible, please!" hehe. so that's good, he won't get sick anymore. not with tonsilitis, anyway. yay!
what else is going on... well, there is other stuff, but it is just stressful stuff, so i'm not gonna put it in this entry. next time, though...wwwwwatch out, brutha!
