trying to be carefree, and succeeding 95% of the way!

i am a driving fiend, folks. i'm a good driver, that's right. the driving instructor said after lesson #2 yesterday that he doesn't think i'll be needing any more lessons with him. yay! and then mom let me drive around for about an hour. it was nice! she isn't very nervous now, either. this was actually her first time driving with me. funky.
i worked at the beach variety place today for a few hours. it was all right. kind of boring, since the weather was icky and only about 4 customers came in. and my boss never smiles. ever. i wonder why that is. oh well. though he'd told me before that he would start me out at minimum wage, he told me today that he'll start me at $7, because he knows i make $7.25 at oscars, and that if i do the job well and make his life easier, he'll give me more. awesome! i'm happy!
well, after going to dugan's the other day and finding that even where they are, they pay $1000/month, plus utilities, i realize i'm going to have to rethink my options here. ben's going to ask his sister about how much her place in westbrook costs. it's a beautiful area and now that the paper factory has eliminated the horrid stench, it's a really nice area. of course, that improvement has probably made apartment/house prices to go up. we'll see. as ben forced me to realize last night, there isn't really anything i can do right now. i don't have enough money -- by a long shot -- for an apartment at the moment. ohhh, the helplessness. i should start buying lottery tickets, hehe.
what else has happened lately...ummm...well, i guess that's it. no response yet from karie, but i'm hoping she feels she's ready for us to start talking as friends again. i haven't talked to sarah in a while, i should call her. megan, also.
oh! i saw the matrix reloaded. it was a good movie and i think agent smith is hilarious. i hated the rave-ish scene, though. it was long, pointless and boring. i'm glad i saw the movie, though. it was a good time!
a'ight ya'll, i've gotta go clean up the kitchen and then eat something because all i've had today was a bowl of cereal at 10:15 and an itty bitty cookie a couple of hours ago. byeee!
