Greetings from California!

I love this city. I love the weather...sunny all the time, warm, breezy. I love this spacious apartment that looks so cozy already.

It's strange that Ben and I always felt bad about chilling out and playing videogames back in Maine because we were like, "we should be doing California planning" and now we're here in California. There's no planning left to do. This is our life together and we can live it the way we want to.

I've been so emotionally stable this whole time. I'm extremely proud of myself. The cross-country drive was fine, there were no accidents. We saw the Toledo Zoo, where, in the Gorilla exhibit, I forgot that apes don't like to be stared at and one got upset and tried to pee on me through the glass. I felt really bad about that. Oops. But anyway, the trip was jes dandy and our hotels were fun. The one in Winnemucca that we stayed in had a casino in it and I gambled for the first time ever. Just the slots. It was kinda fun. I can definitely understand how people get addicted, but I had pretty good self-control there. I spent more money at the Baskin Robbins across from the slots than I did for gambling.

We got a porno on pay-per-view at one hotel which of course was really softcore and hilarious. Not arousing at all, but worth every cent in its hilarity. The hotel pools were great after sitting in a car for hours and hours. Colorado was my favorite part of the trip. Ben's cousin Chris drove us to the top of Mt. Evans. We saw tons of groundhog-like creatures and we saw some mountain goats, it was incredible. Even got to see a baby goat! I got way sick though. High altitude sickness hit me hard and I threw up twice that day. But man, the next day I was feeling great and was ecstatic BECAUSE I was feeling great, so we drove to Boulder and walked all over the place. It was beautiful there. I really wouldn't mind living there if I could afford it someday.

My dad calls me all the time. Seriously, all the time. It's a combination of him being so shocked that I actually left (I think he really believed I'd change my mind about moving) and him not knowing what to do with himself now that he's unemployed. He's definitely different, anyway, and I think it's a very good thing.

Well, I've been on this computer for too long, time to do something else. Toodles.
