yo! so i found out the other day that there are people from all over the world checking out my diary. someone from saudi arabia even visited. crazy! and here i always assumed that i was fairly hidden amongst the thousands of others in this giant internet place that is diaryland.
it was SO busy at work today during lunchtime. i think the final count was 170 guests or so. it totally felt like it. and none of us were prepared for it to be that busy. i was a hostess, receptionist and busser all at the same time. come to think of it, the bussers get a share of the servers' tips. i got ripped off. oh, and i totally need to buy some new tops for work because i was sweating like crazy. and what the hell happened to my thin-strapped black bra? i can't find it anywhere. maybe a perverted elf snuck in and stole it. or maybe i just forgot it at the laundromat one day. either way, shoot.
i would LOVE to jump in the pool with benji right now. but alas, he's at work and i just realized that my bikini is in the back of the van, which he took to work with him. that's okay, though...it wouldn't be nearly as much fun to swim by myself. benji makes everything more fun than it otherwise would be.
you know what else would rule right now? playing with a puppy. a cute large breed puppy that has yet to grow into its huge limbs. *sigh* i totally want a pet.
so, since the pool and the puppy are out of my grasp, i kind of feel like reading and then taking a nap. my latest book is written by a freelance writer who took 9 very different jobs in a year and a half to see how differently she would (or wouldn't) be treated. schoolteacher, stripper, cocktail waitress, roadie, etc... it's way cool.
