it's beautiful out. it's going to get insanely hot later on...96, i think. work was total madness last night. but i was working with pat, so it was entertaining. and josie (new addition to the oscar staff)...is messed up. she never used to talk, and now she skips everywhere instead of walking. she sings out of key constantly too. anyway, josie's a freak.

oh, i should talk about orientation at college. mom and i drove up sunday and came back monday evening. i wasn't nervous once i got there, which was the complete opposite of last time. mom was freaking out though. i'd forgotten to mail them my housing and course requests. my bad? everything turned out fine, though. and if i'm lucky, i'll get to take a class that's all about poetry. the orientation leaders were a bunch of funny upperclassmen. they put on this series of skits called RealityU, addressing, with humor, the issues faced as a freshman at orono. the first skit involved all of them standing in a line across the stage, their backs to us. then one person would turn around and say, "as a freshman, i wish i'd known..." and then the others would turn around and finish the sentence with different things. it was hilarious because one time, a guy turned around and said, "...about all the drugs i would be surrounded by" and immediately after that, a girl turned around and said, "...to get involved." they obviously hadn't planned it that way, because she burst out laughing. anyway, good stuff.
tired, tired me. i still need more hours, though. i'm this tired and only getting 30 hours per week. kooky!
