freaking out

mom's been in the hopital for a few days now. it started with that weird insect bite on her leg...the spot looks all decayed now but the areas around it aren't so red anymore. but she's got a ton of symptoms...fever, headache, tingliness in her mouth when she eats, sharp pains throughout her body. all the nurses had been saying it looked like the bite of a brown recluse spider and that she should be feeling better soon. those aren't native to maine or even new england but i guess one still could have found its way up here. she handles all kinds of boxes and things at work that are from all over. then my mom called this morning and said that the doctors think the infection may have spread to her heart valve. i wasn't worried before, well i'm worried now.
i don't want to do anything, i don't want to go into work anymore until she's out of there. she was looking and sounding okay yesterday aside from the sudden winces of pain. i don't know. i hated this a lot less when it was still just a spider bite.
i'm going to go get ready and head to the hospital. i wish it was me in there instead.
